Before recently, you could only purchase their products in select high-end retail stores, but now you can shop 24/7 on their CORESense-powered ecommerce website.

Norman Camera, the Midwest’s largest camera and video retailer, has launched it’s new website on CORESense, designed by Meticulosity. The new site is a wide-format website since 95% of Norman’s customers are using over-sized monitors and brings the site up-to-date with current design and coding trends.

Sure, you’ve probably seen the Overstock.com commercial where they’re announcing they’re available now at O.co – so does that mean you need to run to Godaddy and buy up all the .co names for your websites?

I say no way.

If you’re a large international brand like McDonalds or Best Buy, then you go ahead and pay the 12 bucks to secure your brand. However, time will show that .co is just another fad and another sales ploy by domain registrars to get you to spend even more on your registrations. Do you remember .me? What about .mobi? Do you EVER visit a reputable website at a .me address? Even .net is hardly utilized these days. The .com will forever be king of the TLD extensions, so don’t bother buying into the fad.

I recently visited the Cayman Islands for my honeymoon and had dinner with a Caymanian IT professional – and he balked at even bothering to own a domain with the country’s own .ky extension. Even from his perspective – everyone knows that .com is the valued real estate. On Grand Cayman, only the government heavily utilizes the .ky extension. Anyone who is anyone owns the .com for their website.

Just because Overstock.com is now also O.co – I say don’t bother.
